Holiday Decorations

Posted: Updated:

As December nears, we are reminded that the Holidays are right around the corner and with the nice weather Minot has had lately, there is no  better time to start decorating for them than the present.

Decorating started this weekend with the Sertoma Club setting up displays that will light up Oak Park this Christmas Season for the Minot Community to enjoy.
The Christmas lights will be on display from November 23rd through December 31st from 6 to 10 every evening and the cost is five dollars per car.
Other parts of town were decked out this weekend as well, including Downtown Minot.
The wreaths are hung and the garland has been strung and one local business has the honor of hanging the lights on the trees lining Main Street.
Minot's Pretty Lights has been busy with the task at hand... making this their second year of stringing lights downtown.

(Juan Vadell, Pretty Lights Co-Owner, Minot) "A lot of people gather here to see the first lighting of the tree and all of the businesses have fun and games and snacks and prizes to win. It's just a casual nice experience for basically anyone who wants to come."

This year the Lighting of the Tree ceremony will take place November 23rd at 6 P.M. at the end of Main Street.
