Authorities are releasing little information at this time about an incident involving several counties in western North Dakota.
What we do know is that the New Town Elementary principal Dan Anderson has canceled school tomorrow in the district due to a "community emergency".
Repeated calls to the Montrail County Sheriff's Department have not been returned...So we are unable to confirm anything at this time.
Minot Police Department Sgt. Dan Maroney confirmed a Signal 100 order has been called off.
Maroney says when activated, a Signal 100 means law enforcement will take assigned places and monitor who comes in and who goes out of county boarders.
Maroney says there may have been up to seven counties involved at one time.
Maroney has confirmed that order is has been 'called off.'
Again, repeated calls to the Montrail County Sheriff's Department have not been returned.
Whether or not the two incidences are related is also unconfirmed.
