Suspect Flees on Foot Following Pursuit that Ends in Dickinson

Posted:

The Dickinson Police Department confirms both Dickinson High School and Trinity were locked down earlier today as a precaution.
Captain Joe Cianni says the Highway Patrol was involved in a pursuit of a stolen vehicle that ended up in Dickinson.
Sergeant Chris Messer says a trooper attempted to make a traffic stop on Highway 22 north of Killdeer.
The driver, who was in a tan Ford pickup, fled at a high rate of speed south.
Another trooper picked up the pursuit south of Killdeer into Dickinson but lost site of the truck in town.
It was located a short time later at a residence in the 500 block of 5th Avenue West.  The suspect fled on foot and remains on the loose.
Law enforcement has no reason to believe residents are in any danger.  The truck was reported stolen out of Missouri.
No other details are being released at this time.
