While thinning out your wardrobe this holiday season, remember those in need locally.
Minot Area Homeless Coalition director Mac McLeod says after a mild winter last year, there's a need for kids and young adult sized winter wear this year.
Old Navy Minot is helping to close the gap.
Partnering with the Minot Area Homeless Coalition, Old Navy Minot associates are hosting a month long outerwear drive.
Gently used coats, scarves, boots and mittens for all ages can be dropped off just inside the door at Old Navy in Dakota Square.
Everything collected will stay local.
McLeod says after a short Facebook message asking for coats, it was perfect that one of the 'bigger businesses' offered to help.
He says it shows the kind of community we live in.

(Tisha McGinnis, Manager Old Navy Minot) "We love to be a part of the community. We love to help out where ever we can and what better than giving a coat to a little kid that doesn't have one. "
Old Navy Minot will be collecting outerwear through November 30th.
