Zuri’s GoMobile and Facebook FriendRaiser Apps Enabled Summer Bowl for Kids’ Sake Participants to Fundraise More Conveniently.
Bend, Oregon (PRWEB) November 29, 2012
Zuri Group today announced that Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City used social and mobile technologies from Zuri Group to exceed its 2012 fundraising goal. The nonprofit agency offered Zuri’s Facebook FriendRaiser and GoMobile fundraising applications to participants raising money for its 2012 Summer Bowl for Kids’ Sake event. Using the two applications to expand their fundraising reach, participants were able to raise an additional $7,500 collectively.
Zuri’s Facebook FriendRaiser enabled 2012 Summer Bowl for Kids’ Sake fundraising participants to raise more money using Facebook – with just one click. While most organizations rely on participants to send their own Facebook fundraising appeals and updates – or provide cumbersome tools that require multiple logins and steps – FriendRaiser takes the effort of out fundraising on Facebook.
FriendRaiser removes the discomfort of approaching potential donors with a direct “ask,” while significantly expanding participants’ fundraising reach. In addition, ROI for nonprofits is achieved quickly, with some nonprofits reaching ROI in just four days.
Additionally, Zuri’s GoMobile is the first fundraising application of its kind, enabling nonprofits to leverage the trend toward mobile by extending the Sphere Friends Asking Friends (FAF) and TeamRaiser fundraising platforms to iPhone and Android devices. As a result, Summer Bowl for Kids’ Sake participants were able to solicit donations and thank donors on behalf of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City – anytime, anywhere.
GoMobile met Summer Bowl for Kids’ Sake participants’ unique needs and preferences by supporting 4+1 mobile fundraising message channels, including email, text, Twitter, Facebook and FaceTime (iPhone users).
“Giving Summer Bowl for Kids’ Sake participants the opportunity to fundraise right from their mobile device proved to be a huge success. Zuri’s GoMobile and Facebook FriendRaiser generated $7,500 for our organization and helped us exceed our fundraising goal for 2012,” said Kristi Hutchison, chief marketing officer for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City. “In addition, the process of setting up the app was easy, and the app’s implementation through our Friends Asking Friends web site was incredibly smooth. These Zuri technologies have offered our participants an easy way to reach out to their contacts to raise the funds necessary to support our life-changing relationships.”
“Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Kansas City provides a great example of how nonprofits can use Zuri technologies to increase their fundraising results,” said John Murphy, founder and CEO of Zuri Group. “Our applications help nonprofits meet the needs of their on-the-go fundraising participants so they can help gain support for the organization – on their time, on their terms.”
