Bismarck, ND -

After 36 seasons of coaching, Dickinson Trinity football coach Randy Gordon has resigned.
Gordon spent 26 seasons with the Titans, he started his career in Killdeer.

His successful career includes 3 state championships.
He had a record of 241 wins and 102 loses.
His Trinity Titans missed the playoffs just 4 times in 26 seasons.
And he experienced just 2 losing seasons.
He was named North Dakota Coach of the Year 5 different times

Gordon has had 62 different assistant coaches during his career.
He says all of them were great, and added something special.
When he looks back on his career, he hopes players remember him as fair, committed and a great teacher of the game and life.

Gordon says although after 36 years it sounds like he's retiring, he's really not.
He's thinking of it as resigning, because he's still teaching and an assistant coach for the basketball team.
