The Bismarck Police Department has made an arrest of a suspect wanted in connection with a kidnapping of a female at gunpoint in Idaho.  Bismarck Police have arrested Mitchell Lee Walck, 57 years old.

Today at 12:06 PM, Bismarck Police were called to the Oasis Truck Stop, 3938 East Divide Avenue.  A 34 year old Solen, ND man was returning to his truck.  As he entered, he found Walck inside his truck. Walck threatened the victim with a handgun and then fled on foot into a nearby mobile home park.

As police arrived, a witness was able to direct officers to the area Walck was last seen.  They set up a perimeter and Walck was found hiding under a pine tree near the intersection of Patriot Drive and Lafayette Drive.  He was taken into custody without incident.  He had a 9mm handgun in his waistband at the time of his arrest.

Bismarck Police recovered a 2005 Silver Subaru Forester in a nearby parking lot that was reported stolen from Idaho.

In addition to being arrested for a warrant out of Idaho, Walck was arrested for unlawful entry to a motor vehicle, terrorizing and felon in possession of a firearm.  He was transported to the Bismarck Police Department.  The Federal Bureau of Investigation was contacted and is investigating.  Walck will be transported to Burleigh County Detention Center at the conclusion of the investigation.
