Christmas Village

Posted: Updated:

When the Christmas season arrives, many people just love to decorate.

Several years ago, Faye and Gary Hardy

of Mohall started collecting pieces of a Christmas Village. The village grew larger every year.

Eventually, it was hard to fit it in their home. Faye works at Citizens State Bank on Main Street in Mohall, so they moved the village to the lobby of the bank. There are approximately 100 pieces in the collection. It draws a great deal of interest, and the Hardy's are just happy that the community appreciates it.

(Faye Hardy) "Gary's mom gave us the first one about 15 or 20 years ago. About 5 years ago we brought it to the bank. At first we needed three tables, now it takes six or seven, now."

As you might expect, it is a huge project to set up the display each year, and then take down.

They plan on leaving the Christmas Village on display until the first week in January.
