Coffee giant Starbucks announced plans this week that it will be adding about 1500 new locations to its already massive hold on the market in the United States. Currently Starbucks has about 13 thousand locations in the US. So...will Minot be included in that? That remains up in the air...however it is looking like a strong possibility. The main Starbucks location in Minot is of course right here at Burdick and Broadway in Minot...and at 7:45 on a weekday morning -- like today -- it is a madhouse of traffic. Perhaps more locations are coming soon...stay tuned on that.

In southeast Minot, Vintage City and UPCycle Furniture is open -- in fact the first day of business was today. Marla Uscensky and Lory Krueger have taken a life-long love of unique and vintage furniture and made it into a business. They are located just west of Holiday Inn by the Fairgrounds...and moving forward will be open Thursday through Saturday on the 2nd and 4th weeks of each month...also by appointment. You can find them both on facebook by the way...just search UPCycle! Furniture and Vintage City.

And finally, work continues at the location where Kohl's is still planning on opening its first Minot store. The Wisconsin based department chain has locations in Bismarck, Fargo, and Grand Forks...and is on schedule to still open up in Minot by the March 3rd target date. In fact, this week sign work started...

With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
