Around Town 12-7

From restaurants and gas stations to hotels and bakeries, Barbara Sharp brings you the latest in what's going on around town.

Landers on State Street made the switch this week from Conoco to Shell, but Owner Kevin Landers tells us nothing else is changing.

The Landers' station has been serving the Bismarck-Mandan community since 1968, and in addition to gasoline, offers a convenience store and sandwich shop.

The Doublewood Hotel is making a change to become the Ramada Bismarck Hotel.

While a change in name only, the hotel will now be participating in the Wyndham Rewards Program, which, in addition to Ramada, includes brands such as Days Inn and Travelodge.

The Ramada is located at 1400 East Interchange Avenue.

Another Bismarck hotel is also changing things up.

You'll see new signs today as the Select Inn becomes America's Best Value Inn & Suites.

Owner Bill Shalhoob says they've revamped the interior look of the hotel, and guests will enjoy comfortable new bedding.

This switch takes the location from being part of a seven-hotel chain to being part of a 1,000-hotel chain.

The Ramada is located at 1505 Interchange Avenue.

The brand new MacKenzie River Pizza Grill & Pub opens its doors this week.

Owners Tim and Robin Bopp say they present you the difficult task in choosing between not just gourmet pizza, but blackened salmon, fish and chips, meatloaf -- and more.

There's a specialty pizza every day of the month where you'll get $1.50 off a small and $3.00 off a large.

Plus, Loyalty Cardholders receive e-mail coupons, and $5 off for every $100 spent.

Taking you around town, I'm Barbara Sharp.

MacKenzie River Pizza Grill & Pub is located at 4510 Skyline Crossing.
