A group of High School students are hoping to spread a bit of cheer to less fortunate children this holiday season.
Moholl FCCLA high school students made a trip to the Minot KMART this morning to shop for close to 50 children in the Mohall community.
This is the fourth year the student organization has been doing this event and it started by just wanting to give back to the community.
About 20 students paired up shopping for toys, school supplies and winter coats for children varying from newborns to age 18.
The students raised money through a dinner and had about three-thousand dollars to spend on gifts.
(Tasha Hahak, Mohall High School Student) "We just really wanted to help out our community. We knew that some children in our community were not receiving Christmas gifts so we just thought this would be a great community project."
