Bismarck Family Receives Early Christmas Present

Posted:

A Bismarck family receives an early Christmas present.

Mya Grace Adams is finally home today, after spending the last 18 weeks at Sanford Health in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Mya was born on August 30th, nearly three months before her due date, weighing only one pound, three ounces.

She will still have to spend some time at Sanford Health in Bismarck, but both mom and dad are happy to have her home with family for the holiday.

"I don't know words can't really describe it, I'm overwhelmed right now, it's a pretty wonderful feeling to have us all together," Nichole Weigel said.

"It means a lot because over the last couple of months what we've been through, me and Nicole actually haven't been together in Bismarck for the last 18 weeks, so to actually get her home for Christmas is the best thing I could ask for," Jermaine Adams said.

Today Mya weighs five pounds.

Her original due date was November 17th.
