Couple Gets Married on 12-12-12!

Posted: Updated:

Wednesday's date is 12-12-12.

And for one couple--there's more than a dozen reasons to celebrate.

Vicki Doll and Andy Kuntz met at a speed-dating event held at Midway Lanes five years ago, since then, they've constantly been getting asked, "when's the big day?".

Now, they have an answer.

Their big day will go down in history as the last triple-digit date of the century.

"And who would have the 12 days of Xmas playing at their wedding, we're very happy and very blessed." says Vicki Doll/Getting married on 12-12-12.

A blessing that's been widely anticipated.

"Every conversation is, when's the big day? when's the big day?" says Vicki Kuntz/Married on 12-12-12.

"I said it's about time, what and awesome day, awesome date!!" says Jody Tuchscherer/Long-time friend.

"I never once thought 12, 12 12, but it's so Vicki! I don't know why I didn't think of it!" says Sandy Miller/Long-time friend.

On 12-12-12, at 12-12 p.m., 12 friends and family members witnessed their surprise union.

"12 noon, 12 people and now this, Channel 12, I can't think of anymore 12s!" says Sandy Miller.

"We have been friends for many moons, been through happy, sad times... this is a day I'm going to remember." says Jody Tuchscherer.

Vicki, a widow whose first husband passed away several years ago, has been waiting to surprise her loved ones with this special day.

"He asked me to marry him in '09, I had two previous sons, one got married, one got married this year, they got done and we can concentrate on us." says Vicki.

"There can never be another one of this one... that is kind of neat, it is very magical..." says Vicki.

A magical moment-- Vicki's long-time friends say she deserves.

"Had it not been for her, we would not have had 30 years of our wedded bliss, she's played matchmaker to a lot of people, so I'm glad she met her match and I know it's going to be a happy ever after..." says Sandy Miller/Mandan.

An easy anniversary date for these newlyweds to remember.

The wedding party also released 12 balloons after the ceremony in honor of those they have lost.
