AEGIS achieves Maturity Level 3 ratings in both CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC+SSD
Rockville, MD (PRWEB) December 19, 2012
AEGIS.net, Inc. (AEGIS) announced today that they have achieved organization-wide Maturity Level 3 ratings in the latest Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) version 1.3 under dual constellations: Development (DEV) and Services (SVC) including Service System Development (SSD). The rating results from a Class A Standard CMMI Appraisal Method for Process Improvement (SCAMPI) appraisal which was completed in November 2012 and subsequently audited by the CMMI Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. The appraisal was led by Class A Lead Appraiser Dr. Richard Bechtold of Abridge Technology.
Mario Hyland, Founder and Senior Vice President, stated, “This renewed CMMI rating at Maturity Level 3 demonstrates AEGIS’ ongoing commitment to applying a process-driven approach when delivering IT services to our commercial and Federal clients as well as our internal initiatives.”
AEGIS joins an elite group of process-oriented organizations through this rating. Currently, according to the Published Appraisal Results System (PARS) at the CMMI Institute, only three (3) organizations world-wide have dual-constellation ratings in version 1.3 of the model under CMMI-DEV and CMMI-SVC+SSD. Only five (5) companies world-wide have achieved CMMI-SVC+SSD Maturity Level 3.
"This latest rating in CMMI Maturity Level 3 under dual constellations is more objective confirmation that AEGIS operates across our organization in a highly quality- and process-driven manner," said AEGIS President and Appraisal Sponsor Michael Callihan. "We are proud of the rating which builds on our previous CMMI-DEV Maturity Level 3 rating in 2010 and shows that we have truly embraced continuous improvement for our own sake and more importantly, for our clients."
The record of AEGIS' CMMI rating is available through PARS.
