MADC Hosts Planning Event

Posted: Updated:

Minot's moving forward at break-neck speed...and the Minot Area Development Corporation is trying to keep up.

To that end, MADC leadership met this week with community leaders, state legislators, and business owners to discuss the proper plan moving forward in a growing city.

The meeting was planned as a way to discuss the expansion already planned and underway in Minot -- from downtown to new business on the north side.

Matt Kramer is the Chairman of the MADC board.

He says the meeting was a good way to discuss what the hopes are for the region with leaders and legislators who are preparing for what should be a bustling session that kicks off in less than a month.

(Matt Kramer - MADC Board Chairman) "We are also now trying to address items like entry level housing and trying to make our contribution to the planning of Minot so we get the right kind of business in the right part of town and maintain that quality of life that we have always had here in Minot."

Yesterday's meeting was held at the Grand International in Minot.
