Everything Lost in Mandan House Fire

Posted:

A family's home in Mandan is a total loss -- one week before Christmas.

Stephen Adams and his daughter came home to find their home filled with smoke.

Adams' oldest daughter was at school.

There was no one home at the time -- except the family dog -- who died in the fire.

Stephen Adams says, "They said it was a fire going on. Opened it up. Smoke just started coming out. Black smoke. Called for my dog. Tried to get him out. I couldn't step foot in the house. There was so much smoke blinding my eyes and everything. Next thing you know it started going up in flames."

The cause of the fire at 144 Countryside Lane is under investigation.

Everything -- including the family's Christmas presents -- was lost.

Donations are being accepted for the family.

There's an account at Wells Fargo Bank.
