Friends Organize Benefit for Family Who Lost Home in Fire

Posted: Updated:

Friends are pitching in to help a Mandan family who lost their dog and home in a fire one week before Christmas.

Stephen Adams and his daughter came home on Wednesday to find their home filled with smoke.

Adams' oldest daughter was at school.

There was no one home at the time, except the family dog,  who died in the fire.

Everything including the family's Christmas presents was lost.

That's why friends have organized a benefit for the family on January 18th at the Amvets.

"The community has been so open, clothes, donations, Christmas presents, everything, right now he's just so overwhelmed with all the help he's been getting, he doesn't even know what to think, he told me he didn't know so many people could care, so, just help him out, let him know people really care and he's not in it alone." says Clarissa Poeppel/Friend.
