Live Nativity Scene in Minot

Posted: Updated:

To celebrate the Christmas holiday and remind people the reason for the season, one local church braved the cold weather to reenact the joyous event that happened hundreds of years ago in Bethlehem.
Jordan Pederson was there and talked to three wise men about their gift to people of the region at the live Nativity scene outside of the West Minot Church of God.

Glory to God in the Highest and on earth Peace Goodwill toward men.
(Brian Walz, Actor, Wiseman) "We are just re-enacting our live nativity scene. We've got Wisemen on the corner with Simon the Alpaca who steals the show. We've got the manger scene going on, animals that can be petted, shepherds, Mary, Joseph and the Angel behind them announcing the great news."
(Willian Tennyson, Actor, Wiseman) "An angel to tell Mary and Joseph that Jesus is born the King."
(Jack Tennyson, Actor, Wiseman) "They follow the North Star to where Jesus was going to be born.
(Willian Tennyson, Actor, Wiseman) "Well we looked up at the star heading north to where Jesus was born and we had to follow the stars to where he lay."
(Brian Walz, Actor, Wiseman) "Just remembering what Christmas is about and the manager scene and how it all started off. It's nice just to see it as you drive by even if you don't have time to stop in."
(Jack Tennyson, Actor, Wiseman) " For two reasons, for enjoyment and to spread the word."
(Brian Walz, Actor, Wiseman) "It is an opportunity for the youth and young people to be doing ministry which is great and it is also a way for them to be a part and also themselves, remember through being a part of the Nativity Story. They can remember themselves and remember the meaning behind Christmas and the point behind Christmas being when Jesus came to earth."
(Willian Tennyson, Actor, Wiseman) "It is really just fun to hang out with friends and have hot chocolate."
