Parents of babies born at Trinity Health this Christmas Season will receive a little something special in their Christmas Stockings this year.
The Trinity Health Auxiliary has donated Christmas Stockings for newborn babies delivered at Trinity Health for the month of December. As a way to celebrate the season and the birth of a new child, nurses dressed the babies in stockings. In addition to a stocking, the nurses came up with the idea of brining in Christmas Ornaments, adorning them with the babies name and birthday, and then putting their tiny footprints on them.
(Kayla Thomas, Assistant Unit Manager, Trinity, Minot) "I think it just makes the holiday more special, just having that baby born on the holiday. It is sort of stands out that it is a birthday too and that they won't get lost in the holiday season. It is two things to celebrate, a birth and Christmas."
In addition to stockings and ornaments, local churches often donate gift bags for babies born on Christmas Day. For Trinity Hospital, only one little one was born today.
