Papa's Polar Patch Open For The Weekend

Posted:

Every fall Papa's Pumpkin Patch opens up for families to pick out that perfect pumpkin for Halloween.

This winter the patch is being used as a winter wonderland for families and their children.

As Jon Berg shows you Papa's POLAR Patch is becoming just as popular as Papa's Pumpkin Patch.

<<"Yes, a good break from school," Lexie Anderson said.

With kids out of school for winter break, Papa's Polar Patch is a great place to have fun in the snow.

"Absolutely, we were really excited to see they were going to be open for Christmas Break, I'm a teacher as well so this is a great way to get away," Beth Anderson said.

"This is all about families and fun, as matter of fact we have more fun than should be legal, these sleds are far too much fun," Dave Pearce said.

The sleds being pulled behind Dave Pearce's four wheeler seem to be the most popular activity this year at the Polar Patch.

"Probably go on the sled, and get pulled by the four wheeler," Kennedy Anderson said.

"I like riding on the four wheeler, sledding, because I like tubing and thought it was just a snow version of tubing." Lexie Anderson said.

"We like the four wheeler ride where they can go super fast and we've fallen off the back and it's just been an amazing time today," Beth Anderson said.

With an inch or two of snow here and there, and temperatures hovering above zero, Pearce says conditions are perfect for his Polar Patch.

"Which makes it a little bit slipperier, which means the sleds go a little bit faster and slide and glide a little bit smoother, it makes it just perfect for us," Pearce said.

So whether you're picking pumpkins, or playing in the snow, Papa's Patch is a pretty popular attraction.

"We come out for the Pumpkin Patch every year and we think the Polar Patch is amazing," Beth Anderson said.>>

If you haven't been able to get out to Papa's Polar Patch yet, you still have time.

The Polar Patch will be open Sunday and Monday from noon until 5 p.m.
