A program called, "Dreams in Motion" is giving all kids a chance to get out on the ice.
This is sled hockey.
Dreams in Motion gives kids and young adults with mobility challenges or visual impairment the opportunity to play almost any sport you can think of.
Through the program in Bismarck, participants have played indoor wheelchair soccer, basketball, track and field, dance , curling, and now hockey.
Many parents watched proudly in the stands, just like at most hockey games.
"Xavier is an energetic kid, this is great, giving the opportunity to get with other kids here, it's something he wouldn't normally have the opportunity to do, so this is in line with what he likes to do." says Eli Cornell/Xavier's Dad.
"The kids get to play alongside their able-bodied friends and family members, and just get to relate to each other, all in the same way, you know everybody's on the same playing field." says Annette Kaip/Dreams in Motion Board President.
Some Bobcats players and Mandan boys and girls hockey players were also helping out on the ice.
