Getting A Safe Ride Home

This evening many of you are probably planning to celebrate the new year, and if you plan to go out, you might want to think about getting a cab.

All employees at Taxi 9000 are working this evening, making sure everyone is able to get a safe ride to their destinations.

Extra dispatchers are also on hand to take phone calls.

For those who plan to go out to the bars in Bismarck and Mandan, many bars will be handing out free taxi cab vouchers.

"You go to a bar tender and say, I don't feel safe to drive, the bar tender will give you the voucher, you call the cab, the cab will come and get you, it will only take you to your home it won't take you anywhere else, well it will take you to your mom's if that's where you call home and you're fine, no charge," Gary Schumacher said.

McQuades distributing does the voucher program.

Manager of Taxi 9000, Gary Schumacher says they receive more calls between midnight and 1 a.m. on New Years than any other time of the year.
