Poker Champion

Posted: Updated:

After three grueling days of battling out it for 45-thousand dollars, the 2012 Texas Hold'em Tournament Champion has been crowned.

Returning player Gregg Dahle of Carpio North Dakota was the man of the hour at last night's championship round.
As the tournament neared the end players were eliminated until Dahle was the only one left standing with a trophy in one hand and a check in the other.
Walking away with the second place paycheck for 20-thousand dollars was Tom Gullickson of Hazen North Dakota.
Dahle finished the tournament in second place in 2010 and is the first player to return to the final table and become champion for the tournament.
This year he came back to claim his prize.
(Gregg Dahle, 2012 Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament Champion, Carpio) "There was nothing going through my head except for the fact that I got the chips and if I start losing them it was just going to, I needed to hold onto them. I don't believe it, I still don't believe it."
Gaming in sponsored by the MSU Alumni Association and a portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go towards scholarships at MSU.
