Medieval Rush Coming to Bismarck

Posted:

It's on reason to stick to your New Years resolutions.

July 6th the Medieval Rush comes to Bismarck's Missouri Valley Fairgrounds.

It's an all-terrain race featuring obstacles like mud, barbed wire and climbing walls.

A similar event was held last summer at Huff Hills.

Event spokesman Tanner Schweitzer challenges you to start a fitness program and stay with it.

But he also says the Medieval Rush is about more than a race.

Also it's a costume theme so maybe wear a Renaissance costume or wear any kind of goofy costume if you want to dress up as a superhero or whatever a Muppet character whatever you want be as goofy take a break from everyday ordinary life and from the stress of everyday life come out have fun it's a day of sport, good food, camaraderie community bring everybody together and have some fun," says Medieval Rush organizer Tanner Schweitzer.

The event will also feature arm wrestling, a tug-of-war, tomato tossing and a stone throw.
