Today State lawmakers hear about what needs to be done on North Dakota's Reservations.
Chairman of the Turtle Mountain band of Chippewa, Richard McCloud, says the state needs to work towards one goal, prosperity.
He says new training on reservations is needed to help citizens find jobs.
Another important issue he says, is the need to provide quality education for students on reservations.
"Our classrooms need to be equip with the latest technology, our education needs to equip our students to thrive in the global economy and most importantly it needs to promote a safe and healthy environment for every student, so how can we imagine our future being prosperous without investing in education," Richard McCloud said.
McCloud says right now more than half of students on reservations, won't graduate high school.
