Theft at Hope Village

Posted: Updated:

Several key items were stolen from Hope Village during winter break including a John Deere Gator which was donated to the group in August.

The burglary was reported December 28th.

Along with a Gator, the theft included a single-axle trailer which had a 100-gallon diesel fuel tank.

The total value of stolen goods is estimated 22 thousand dollars.

The director of Hope Village says the value of the goods, especially the Gator, is more than just dollars and cents.

(Pastor Paul Krueger, Hope Village Director) "The facilities for Hope Village are spread out, so you are always moving things, you are always carrying things some where. When V.I.P.'s come that was how we toured them around to see what was going on and happening. It makes it incredibly hard for our Village manager and staff to do their stuff here on site."

Hope Village is a unified volunteer center for flood recovery.

Anyone with any information regarding the stolen items is asked to contact the Minot Police Department.
