Woman Charged with Burning Cigarette on Disabled Son

A 61 year old Bismarck woman is jailed for abusing her son.

Joyce Osterlund is charged with endangering a vulnerable adult.

Court records say she burned her son with a cigarette on two different occasions.

The son is developmentally disabled.

The court document says she burned the man because he was playing his guitar too loud.

As part of her bond condition, she is to have no contact with her son.

The crime is a class B Felony.
