Fatal Accident

An accident involving two semi-tractor trailers and a pickup left one woman dead east of Watford City, near Johnsons Corner Sunday Night.

The Highway Patrol report indicated that a semi driven by 48 year old Paul Mirando of Killdeer was traveling westbound on Highway 23 when it crossed the center line and side-swiped another semi driven by 26 year old Charles Cartwright of Billings, Montana.

Mirando's semi continued into the eastbound lane where it struck a pickup head-on, killing the driver, 46 year old Lavada Hill of Watford City.

Neither Semi drivers were injured in the accident.

The incident remains under investigation.
