The Century girls basketball team sits 9-1 overall-- undefeated in the WDA.
In those nine wins-- the Patriot's average margin of victory is over 25 points.
Coach Ron Metz says a big part of Century's success has been the wide spread scoring on his team.
Through the first six games of the season-- the Pats had 5 players with over 40 points scored.
(RON METZ)"The strong suit has been how we've been able to have 1 or 2 or ya know on a lot of nights 3 girls that are stepped up and contributed and really big time on the offensive end and it's been three different girls you know any of the 9 girls we've had contributed to um big baskets or big sets of points at any times in any of those games."
(HANNAH LARSON) "That definitely plays a big role too I mean if people are in foul trouble or hurt or what not then we have to have other people come in and step up so I think our bench does a really good job at giving us points when we need it."
The team is on an 8 game win streak-- sits atop the WDA standings-- and is the number one ranked team in the State Class A poll.
The key for the Patriots is to take it one game at a time-- and not let success get into their heads.
<<Ron Metz" One of the big things that we like to do is to make sure we're focused on the next game. Only the next game and that's where we get ourselves set as far as practice and what we're planning for as far as development for ourselves and you know that's a tough thing to balance "
The next game for Century is 6 days away-- against cross town rival BHS at the Civic Center.
