Wind Chill Takes a Plunge Into -20s Territory

Posted: Updated:

Being exposed to extreme wind chills, can be dangerous.

Just step outside and you can feel why.

The National Weather Service has issued wind chill advisories and warnings this weekend for much of the state.

In the Bismarck/Mandan area, the coldest actual temperature of the weekend is around five below, but the coldest wind chill here is around 25 below.

People were still out and about Sunday afternoon, though some said, they'd rather be inside watching football.

"Catching a lot of wind, blows you around, it's no fun." says Kent Brekke/Fargo.
