February culinary events invite travellers to dig in to the Halifax food scene.

Visitors to Halifax this February can satisfy their craving for unforgettable culinary travel experiences during the Savour Food & Wine Festival. The five signature Savour events can easily be paired with culinary vacation packages hosted by a variety of Halifax hotels to create the perfect winter weekend getaway or Halifax holiday.
2013 marks the 10th anniversary of Savour Food & Wine and the launch of a new cocktail-inspired event. Every weekend in February features a different marquee culinary event that is sure to delight the taste buds, and satisfy those craving authentic maritime food.
Dine Around kicks off the festival on Feb. 1 and lasts the entire month with more Halifax restaurants than ever offering special prix fixe menus; Decadence presents an evening of wine, chocolate and cheese to tantalize the senses on Feb. 7; on Feb. 15 the Rare & Fine Wine event allows guests to taste a selection of over 30 highly rated wines otherwise not available in Nova Scotia; Imbibe: A Cocktail Story, the newest Savour event, invites guests to experience incredible drinks created by talented local mixologists on Feb. 21; and the Halifax culinary excitement explodes on Feb. 28 at Savour Food & Wine Show where 60 vendors will come together to showcase the finest Halifax restaurants, wines and gourmet products.
