Meth Arrests Could be Related to Mexican Cartel

Posted:

The Metro Area Task Force makes four meth-related arrests this weekend.

But it's part of a larger ongoing investigation, possibly involving a Mexican drug cartel.

Here are the four men arrested Saturday in the Bismarck/Mandan area:

Their meth-related charges range from criminal conspiracy to deliver meth to possession of meth with intent to deliver.

They are all charged with double-A felonies which carry a maximum penalty of life in prison.

The four men are listed as having Arizona home addresses.

Burleigh County State's Attorney Dawn Dietz says they can not discuss details because it is an ongoing investigation, but they believe there could be more arrests in relation to a Mexican drug cartel and the distribution of meth to Bismarck and Minot.

The complaint says, between December 17 2012 and January 18th 2013 the men planned to deliver meth and may have executed the drug deal.
