Cramer Says Colleagues Intrigued by ND

Posted: Updated:

North Dakota's new congressman says many of his colleagues want to visit North Dakota to see what's going on out here.

Kevin Cramer says with the state's economy booming while most of the nation is suffering slow economic growth, fellow members of Congress are intrigued.
He says he's happy to share the story of the state's embracing of the newest oil technology, the productivity of farmers, and the economic stewardship of state leaders.
And the newly-elected congressman says the "ND" beside his name has made him pretty popular.

(Rep. Kevin Cramer, (R) North Dakota) "When I was tourism director we were the least-visited state in the US, now when I walk into the room it's like I'm Walt Disney.  All of these members want to come to North Dakota.  I've had several delegations request the opportunity to come on some sort of a fact-finding tour of North Dakota."

Cramer has been state tourism director and most recently was a member of the state Public Service Commission.
