Social Media Bill Introduced

Posted:

Many of us are constantly engaged in social media, whether that be Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.

But what happens to your account once you die?

A new law is introduced at the state Capitol today, that would allow you to write in your will --- who could have access to those accounts once you are deceased.

"Whatever they're giving to them in inheritance that would be done in clause, so their inheritors to me implied that whatever is according to their will would have to be obeyed by set inheritors, it'd be similar to inheriting their house," Ben Hanson said.

The bill is House Bill 1455.
