Lincoln Police Officer Strikes Vehicle

A woman is taken to the hospital tonight after a Lincoln Police Officer struck her vehicle.

The accident happened east of Lincoln, at the intersection of Lincoln Road and 66th street, just before 5 p.m. tonight.

According to the Highway Patrol, Bradley Heger with the Lincoln Police Department, was traveling northbound on 66th street with his patrol car's light bar activated, initiating a traffic stop.

That's when Heger drove through the stop sign at 66th and Lincoln road at a slow speed and struck a 2007 Ford Five-Hundred, driven by 21 year-old Brittany Entzi.

Entzi was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck due to her injuries, Heger was not injured in the crash.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

The vehicle Heger was pursuing continued northbound on 66th street, North of Lincoln Road.

The accident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
