Towry Charged with Manslaughter in Death of Bismarck Man

A Mandan man is charged following a homicide investigation by Mandan police.

23-year-old Colten Towry is charged with manslaughter for causing the death of Derek Oshkeshequoam.

Police say Towry assaulted Derek at a house party in late October.

The 30-year-old Bismarck man died two days later from his injuries.

Two others are charged in the case.

34-year-old Christopher Vernon and 28-year-old Joseph Houle are charged with reckless endangerment.

Following the assault, Vernon and Houle took Oshkeshequoam to the basement of their home.

A day later they dropped him off at a local hospital where he died.

The three men are not in custody. Warrants were issued today for their arrests.
