Armed Suspect Robs Two Bismarck Businesses

Posted:

A masked suspect with a gun robs two Bismarck businesses early this morning.

The first call came at 4:56am.

Bismarck police responded to Mainstay Suites at 2507 North 9th Street.

The night manager says as she was counting money a suspect walked to the counter, laid a black handgun down and demanded money.

The manager gave her an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled out the front door on foot heading west.

The suspect is described as about 5'5", wearing a white mask and a black coat with the hood pulled over her head.

The manager says she believes the suspect to be female.

Around five minutes later Bismarck police were called to 2205 Tyler Parkway for a robbery in progress.

The manager of Country West Shell says a female wearing a white mask and a black coat with a hood pulled over her head walked in and demanded money.

The suspect again placed a pistol on the counter. The clerk took money from the till and gave it to her. She described the woman as heavy-set and wearing stonewashed jeans.

In this case there was a witness.

A woman in the parking lot says she saw the suspect "bolt" out of the store and get in a red 4-door vehicle that was parked at Texas Roadhouse.

The car left north on Clydesdale.

If you have any information, please contact Bismarck police at 224-TIPS.
