The NetSwap Network Attached Storage (NAS) appliance can act a both a NAS and backup device. Each removable drive pair can be automatically mirrored. With mirroring turned on, neither your servers or the backup software are aware when drives are swapped. Because the primary volume can stay connected at all times, this avoids software issues associated with removable drives. Once synched, one of each pair are typically removed for offsite storage.
