Another new hotel has come online in Minot -- Noble Inn on 20th has been in the construction phase for close to a year...but a few weeks ago opened its doors for the first time. Noble Inn is designed as a luxury extended stay hotel with two styles of rooms...all though containing full kitchens that sets up nice for the longer stays. General Manager Dennis Gumke says the relaxing, comfortable feel of the hotel is it's strong suit...
(Dennis Gumke - Noble Inn General Manager) "That they feel it is a home away from home, you know with the staff and they feel comfortable here and it is a home instead of just a hotel with a room."
Gumke himself isn't new to North Dakota...he is from Tower City...but he moved back to North Dakota -- and America -- last year for the first time in decades.
(Dennis Gumke - Noble Inn General Manager) "My family is from here and you know I took the chance to come and start over basically. I was settled in Scotland, had a good life there, and to give that all up and start from scratch is a challenge."
But a challenge he says he is enjoying -- now as the GM at the new Noble Inn and its 66 rooms.
Downtown in Minot, Odney has made a move to 21 South Main. They had called 3rd Street home but this move for the advertising and marketing company that has offices in North Dakota and Idaho will make doing more business easier...something that has been coming their way.
(Brekka Kramer - Odney) "We have grown our offices and we were looking for a little more room and we were looking for space that made a little more sense for us."
You can find Odney online at Odney.com as well. With Business Beat, I'm Perry Olson.
