Galindo returns to the mats

The State Wrestling tournament starts tomorrow for both Class A and B.
    Bismarck High comes in as the favorite from the West but they have a tough task ahead of them if they want the 2013 title.

    The Demon's open the Dual tournament with Wahpeton the 4th seed in the east-- but the team is already looking ahead to West Fargo-- the favorite to take it all.
    Bismarck coach Scott Knowlen says they are the best in the state no doubt-- but this week in practice he'll be trying to prepare his team to perform at their highest level in case the Packers slip up.

    Ricky Galindo is undefeated and the top seeded wrestler in his weight class-- pretty impressive for a guy that didn't start the season with the Demons.
    Galindo who's a returning state champion for BHS, decided not to wrestle this year.
    But after a few weeks without the sport he rejoined the team

Kept asking me if I just wanted to come out for one practice just to see how I like it and he needed some help working out cuz he's not really getting a workout he has to drive to U Mary and they wouldn't let him do that so he couldn't do that either so I did what a Best friend would do. I came and wrestled and I loved it couldn't get away from it. It was fun. 

    When Galindo returned to the team in January he had only had one match before the Rotary tournament, yet he was still able to claim the 170 pound championship.
    Yet despite his success, he won't be overconfident in his pursuit of back to back state titles.
     Rick Galindo/ BHS 170 LB Wrestler I'm confident but I gotta say everyone's on the list so you can't take one match lightly that's my mindset you can't go in on that mat thinking that you're just going to win you've gotta work for it that's my motto and that's what I stick to.

    Bismarck High wrestles Wahpeton in the first round of the dual meet.
    That begins at 10 am at the Fargo Dome.
    The first round of individuals begins after quarterfinal duals are over.
