Dock Dogs Get Air Time at Sports Show

Posted: Updated:

Some dogs are getting some major "air" time at the Sports Show this weekend.

DockDogs returns to the Civic Center for this year's splashiest event and they are upping the competition.

Newcomer Maggie wowed the crowd today with this 20-foot jump.

And owner Tammy Terras says she won't be surprised if Maggie jumps even farther.

"She just loves to jump. She's so excited she can't even wait her turn back there," says Tammy Terras.

But 2-year-old Maggie has some stiff competition.

Meet Remi. Remi got his start in Bismarck in 2010 and has been competing ever since.

He's held the world speed retrieve record for the last two years.

But owner Tom Dropik says Remi isn't intimidated.

"The biggest thing with Remi is- if there is a dog up there jumping 23-feet- the biggest thing with him is, what's he doing on Remi's dock and why is he going after Remi's toy? That's what Remi is worried about," says Tom Dropik."

The Big Air Finals are scheduled for 4:00pm Sunday.
