The recent winter weather in eastern North Dakota is taking a toll on the state's blood supply.
When storms hit the area, blood drives get canceled which leaves United Blood Services hurting.
As of today they are 200 pints behind because of last weekends storm.
More than half of their supply comes from blood drives, so it's critical for them to find others ways to find donors.
"We are sitting in a pretty tight situation right now from trying to recuperate from last week but then now we're dealing with the storms today that have effected the eastern side of the state and trying to make up, and we're going to have to try and make up what we lost today also," Stephanie Radenz said.
