Peace Corps Worker Presents

Posted: Updated:

A former Minot High Graduate has gone on to do great things.

Daniel Gerszweski has been busy since graduating from high school in 2002 and shared his experiences this afternoon at a Sertoma Club meeting.

Originally from Minot, Gerszweski went on to college in Washington and worked in Arlington Virginia for four years before deciding to join the Peace Corps.

Gerszweski has spent the last two years in the peace corps on the remote island of Vanuatu in the South Pacific teaching business, banking and family budgeting.

He wanted to do something where he could use his skills to help others.

(Daniel Gerszweski, Peace Corps Worker, Minot) "It was something that was always in the back of my head for years. I never really thought it would be something that someone like me would actually do but I got to a point where I wanted to try something new, I wanted to use the skills I learned in school or in Minot and that I had learned on the job and try and help people with them. It turns out I was able to."

Gerszweski arrived back home last November and is looking for his next big adventure.
