Fire Destroys Des Lacs Home

Posted: Updated:

A Des Lacs family's home was destroyed this morning in a fire.

The call came in around 10 o'clock.

Berthold, Burlington and Des Lacs fire crews arrived at Justin & Sheila Johnson's home and attempted to extinguish the flames.

However the fire quickly spread and engulfed the entire home.

The cause of the fire is not known at this time and it's not clear if anyone was home when it started.

Because the flames spread so quickly, the family lost everything in the house.

Donations are being accepted at Trinity Williams Eye Center in Minot, located on 16th street southwest, for clothing and household items that were lost in the blaze.
