Hope Builders

Posted: Updated:

The rebuilding process continues for those affected by the flood.

That process will take another step in the right direction this weekend - with some help from you.

Members of Hope Village are asking for your assistance tomorrow.

Volunteers, otherwise known as "Hope Builders", will work in two shifts from 9 A.M. until noon and noon to three.

The three types of projects for the day will be insulation, sheet rocking, and general carpentry work.

This is the second rebuilding day the group has organized.

Last month 40 volunteers worked in five different homes in one day to help out fellow community members in need.

(Mary Carlson, Volunteer Coordinator, Hope Village) "They can't believe it sometimes. They will call or they will give them cookies or whatever if the homeowners are around. They're thrilled to have this help. They can't believe that people are that kind to that for them. They are always humbled by that."

If you are interested in volunteering Saturday contact the information on the screen.

Carlson said the group has scheduled another rebuilding day for March 16th and hopes to have a new project each month.
