Parents Receive Letter Clarifying Which School Their Child Will Go To

Some Bismarck Public School parents should be receiving a letter in the mail, clarifying which school their children will attend next school year.

Superintendent of Bismarck Public Schools, Tamara Uselman says all students currently in kindergarten through sixth grade should receive a letter.

letters for Middle school parents went out earlier this month and elementary letters were just sent out last Friday, so some parents may not have received theirs in the mail yet.

Uselman says some middle school parents received their letter late, so if they want to request a transfer, the deadline has been extended from February 25th until the end of this week, transfers for elementary students aren't due until later this spring.

"Our goal is to get children inside the buildings where we can, to use all the district space including portables and to get that information into parents hands so they have a chance to decide whether they would like to apply for a transfer or if they're agreeable to the situation," Superintendent Tamara Uselman said.

If you don't receive a letter in the mail by the end of this week, contact the school district to make sure you know where your child will be attending school next year.
