State Fair Lineup Taking Shape

Posted: Updated:

North Dakota State Fair officials today announced the line-up for this summer's event -- at least the country show pass portion of the grandstand performers.

Once again this year, the event will be book-ended by two country music superstars.

The Fair kicks off with Tim McGraw taking to the stage the first day of the fair.

That concert will be followed by a yet-to-be-announced rock event on Saturday.

Here is the line-up for the rest of the week of the fair:

Newcomer Brantley Gilbert takes the stage on Monday...followed by two nights of auto events.

Then it is Sawyer Brown and Scotty McCreery.

The final Friday of the event -- another big name -- Toby Keith brings his numerous hits to the stage.

(Jennifer Hubrig - NDSF Marketing Director) "We definitely shoot to try and get those big names on the weekend so more people can come from out of town and people can have a good time over the weekend and make time for the big concerts, but some of the classics during the week are fun too."

The show pass sold out last year, so Hubrig recommends getting your tickets early -- but they aren't for sale yet.

That will happen after the two rock concerts are announced which is expected in the next few weeks.
