Not Guilty Plea in Attempted Murder Case

A Minot man says he's "not guilty" of attempted murder.

31-year-old Brian Muzzy entered his not guilty plea in Northwest District Court today.

He's accused of shooting another man, Shaun Scott, his roommate at Holiday Park Trailer Court in mid-January.

If convicted, he faces a minimum four-year prison sentence with a maximum of 20 years on the Class-A felony.

Muzzy also entered a not guilty plea to a charge that came after he was put in jail on the attempted murder charge.

He's facing a Class-B felony charge of possession of a controlled substance in a jail.
