A Ft. Yates woman is charged with second degree murder after allegedly stabbing a man to death on the Standing Rock Reservation.

Morning Star Brown is accused of stabbing Jarrett Two Bear March 3rd at a Ft. Yates home following a day of drinking.

An affidavit from an FBI special agent says that an emergency call was made around 3pm Sunday.

When officers arrived they found Two Bear unresponsive with a stab wound to his chest.

He was pronounced dead during a flight to Bismarck.

Brown had knife wounds to her wrists. Officers were able to disarm her and take several knives from her possession.

Brown will make her initial appearance in federal court on the charge tomorrow morning in Bismarck.
