A support center throughout North Dakota is helping those with disabilities gain the skills they need.
This afternoon an official grand opening ceremony is held for the Anne Carlsen Center.
Since last summer, The Anne Carlsen Center has been helping families, young adults and adults with everything from challenging behaviors, increasing independent living and vocational skills, and help high schoolers transition from high school into adult life.
"Some of the best stories we hear are from families who say, they're able to go out and take a trip to wal mart or able to go out to dinner as a family and enjoy themselves," Lorena Poppe said.
The Anne Carlsen Center has been working in Jamestown, Grand Forks, Fargo and Bismarck.
